This foot is designed to hold the bottom of the Vertical Scale in place. When attached to the Lower Rod, it holds the Lower Rod & Vertical Scale parallel for easier testing. When used with the Vertical Scale, Upper Attachment (Product # K-100.530) the Vertical Scale is hands-free.
